How much time does a producer spend thinking about a new song, or a sound he/she wants to achieve?
In my case, it's a lot of time.
I stare to the void right in front of me for several minutes, wondering about how to create the perfect beat, or the cruel-sounding growl bass I listened to some great Neurofunk producer.
I feel like it's a big waste of time, because maybe I should try to do it instead of trapping myself into this neverending loop of thoughts.
But.
So many ideas come to me at the same time, along with the frustration for not being able to use them. It's such a big, confused noise in my head.
I'm looking for a method to focus to a single idea at a time.
I hope I'll find it someday.
Meanwhile, my girlfriend is helping me pushing away the hesitations in spending money to complete my very first home studio. Guilt is a bad counselor, when you want to care about about yourself and your passions.
