Hello, and welcome to the third installment of my personal Project, One Week One Sound.
This time I tried to focus to the typical sounds from the '80s sci-fi movies, and to shape my sound I chose one of the synths included in FL Studio: Sawer.
It's a bit more than a classic synth: it has some interesting features, such as the sub-bass and a versatile in-built LFO, which can be routed to almost any section in Sawer.
Sawer's main oscillator is, well, a saw. And the sub-saw is really useful to add some power, alongside with the unison voices, which enrich the patch.
To give more air to the sound, I set the sub bass to -2 octaves and the sync frequency to +2 octaves.
I used an envelope controller to record the cutoff, just for self-teaching purposes.
Unfortunately Sawer doesn't have in-built FX, so I quickly used a Chorus and a Reverb bundled in FL Studio, without messing around too much.
